Coming soon to SPIFF 2025!

Trick is a short film that pays tribute to classic horror. The director describes the film as his love letter to the genre, so when working on the poster I wanted to evoke the feeling of walking into a VHS rental store and seeing the mass-marketing materials. I intentionally allowed the pixels to artifact resembling the technology of the 80’s. I really wanted nostalgia to be at the core of the work I provided, down to the animation bloom which resembles the glare of a CRT.
